WiFi Diamond Pinoy Ghost Angelfish (p/p - D/+ - pb/pb - S/+) WiFi: wide fin, a trait likely coded by more than one gene, a polygenic trait. The wide fin results from branching fin rays and increased/expanded tissue between rays. Diamond or Pearl: recessive mutation that causes the scales to curve/crinkle, creating different angles of reflection; analogous to a diamond with many cuts/facets reflecting light in different directions. Pearl/Diamond genetic code: p/p Pinoy: the combination of two color mutations, dark and blue. The dark mutation is an incomplete dominant. Dark melanin pigmentation is distributed all over the body. The blue "color" is a recessive mutation and is actually structural color; blue light reflected by iridophores. The blue iridophores predominantly develop over the face, crown back and fins. Pinoy genetic codes: Dark: D/+ or D/g or D/D Philippine blue: pb/pb Ghost: the heterozygous form of blushing/stripeless mutation where stripes are incompletely/completely removed. Ghost genetic code: S/+ Note: yellow/orange/red pigments may develop on the crown/back and fins of angelfish, depending on their genetics, and these colors add to the black and blue colors creating a blend.
